Josef Jeongmeen Ahn

Korean baritone Josef Jeongmeen Ahn joined the Jette Parker Young Artists Programme of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, at the start of the 2022 / 2023 season, graduating in Summer 2024. He studied at Mainz School of Music where he studied with Thomas Dewald and the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich and Seoul National University. He furthered his studies at Munich’s Bavarian Theatre Academy August Everding and at London’s National Opera Studio. His roles have included Guglielmo Così fan tutte for Munich Kammeroper and Marcello La bohème at Schloss Weikersheim, whilst his roles for The Royal Opera have included The Huntsman Rusalka, Angelotti Tosca, Fiorello Il barbiere di Siviglia and Flemish Deputy Don Carlo, as well as Segeste in the JPAP production of Handel’s Arm
