Biography
Julia Rempe, born in Kiel, studied singing at the Meistersinger Conservatory in Nuremberg and at the Hanover University of Music and Drama. She has won several singing competitions, the Bavarian State Prize for Young Artists 2001 and the Festival Prize of the Munich Opera Festival 2003. In the 2000/2001 season, Julia Rempe was a member of the Junge Ensemble of the Bavarian State Opera, from 2001 to 2003 she was a member of the ensemble and stayed with the house connected for many years as a guest singer. Further commitments have led the singer to the State Opera in Hanover, the Dresden Semper Opera, the German State Opera in Berlin, the Zurich Opera House, the Cape Town Opera, the Komische Oper Berlin and the Vienna State Opera, as well as to festivals such as the Schleswig-Holstein Festiv
