Following the inspirational word »Hereinforderung«, the Lausitz Festival from 25 August to 10 September 2023 will bring a fascinating program of world premieres and world-class artists to an area where the term "structural change" is omnipresent.

In the varied landscapes of the Lausitz, stretching from Brandenburg to Saxony and the border regions of Poland, the Lausitz Festival invites you to join us for concerts ranging from classic to jazz and world music, dance performances, theater, literary matinees, philosophical discussions, and exhibitions of contemporary art. The performance venues reflect the varied and tumultuous history of the Lausitz – in addition to architecturally impressive theaters, a wide range of spaces including castles and parks, cinemas, industrial monuments, and churches will host the various events.  

The festival is presented under the joint patronage of the Minister Presidents of Brandenburg and Saxony, Dr. Dietmar Woidke and Michael Kretschmer.
