Biography
Marco Iacomelli graduated in Music and Communication Technology at the University of Milan, then obtained his Master’s Degree in Opera Directing at Accademia Nazionale d’Arte Drammatica Silvio D’Amico. He studied composition and singing at the Guido Cantelli Conservatory of Novara. He worked for EMI Music Italia, Universal Music Italia and was a consultant for BMG Ricordi in the Digitalization Project of their Historical Records Archive. He made his debut as a director in 2010 with “The Glass Menagerie” by Tennessee Williams at Scuola d’Arte Drammatica Paolo Grassi. The following year he directed a reduction of “Mr. Emmet takes a walk” by Peter Maxwell Davies and David Pountney (Teatr Wielki Opera Narodowa, Warsaw).
