Mike and Vanessa Woodward founded Opera Anywhere in 2000, giving their first performances on a specially-constructed stage on a pond in Sunningwell, Oxfordshire. The early performances were Proms concerts, which soon developed into fully staged opera productions.

Since 2000, Mike and Vanessa have taken Opera Anywhere on tour throughout the UK, entertaining audiences with popular but also less well-known operas – often in unusual venues.

In 2010, we appointed a board of directors and trustees and became registered as a charity and a limited company.

Since then, the company has gone from strength to strength. We are gratefully supported by grants from Arts Council England, D’Oyly Carte Charitable Trust, Doris Field Charitable Trust and OxLEP.
