"Let there be light" - under the direction of Kent Nagano, the work in the Elbphilharmonie will be heard again, which was premiered in 2017 as part of the opening festival of the Hamburger Konzerthaus: Jörg Widmann's oratorio ARCHE. Overwhelming and monumental in its cast, it is based on various text sources by Heine, Schiller, Klabund and others and caused a sensation when it premiered in the Great Hall. In keeping with Beethoven's spirit, it was Widmann's greatest wish that this work should "come from the heart and go back to the heart"

„Es werde Licht” – Unter der Leitung von Kent Nagano erklingt erneut das Werk in Elbphilharmonie, das 2017 im Rahmen des Eröffnungsfestivals des Hamburger Konzerthauses uraufgeführt wurde: Jörg Widmanns Oratorium ARCHE. Überwältigend und monumental in seiner Besetzung, beruht es auf verschiedenen Textquellen von Heine, Schiller, Klabund u. a. und war bereits bei seiner Uraufführung im Großen Saal eine Sensation. Ganz im Beethoven’schen Sinne war es Widmanns größter Wunsch, dass dieses Werk „von Herzen kommend wieder zu Herzen gehen möge“.
