The inimitable Aurora Orchestra continues the mind-blowing feat of performing great orchestral works from memory, this time bringing us Beethoven’s epic Eroica Symphony.

It is paired with Strauss’ first horn concerto in a celebration of youth – both that of the composer (who wrote it at 18 after a lifetime of listening to his father, one of the foremost horn players of the time) and that of the soloist, Annemarie Federle, who became Aurora’s youngest ever principal player at the age of 20. Annemarie is also principal horn of the London Philharmonic Orchestra and was a winner of the brass category of BBC Young Musician of the Year.
