Husband, wife, new life, old lover, meeting in a stuffy separation, the waiter paid off, the bar plays with blood-curdling jazz ... The pretty young American lady is secretly a composer, the Turkish Mustafa Bey is openly worldly. Everything is added to a successful operetta complication, which of course ends in a hilarious way: everyone gets their partner back and forth, only the shy but eager to conquer lawyer is left to fend for themselves.

Easy love comedy with great characters, striking scenes, catchy music. In the 1933 Hungarian version of the German original, the prose is made even more irresistible by the humor of Jenő Heltai and the humor of József Romhányi. Gyula Kabos excelled in the Hungarian premiere in the role of Mustafa.

One of the greatest successes of Pál Ábrahám, who also recorded the first Hungarian jazz opera. He was celebrated all over Berlin at the December 1932 premiere at the 3,300-seat Große Schauspielhaus. In January 1933, Adolf Hitler became Imperial Chancellor. On the night of February 27, the Reichstag was set on fire. As of April 23, German newspapers no longer describe the name of Paul Abraham.
