The CSBO, with chief conductor Kazuki Yamada making his Aldeburgh Festival debut, present an all-British programme of Holst, Britten and Elgar.

The rarely heard Japanese Suite by Gustav Holst is followed by Britten’s Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings with the masterful tenor Ian Bostridge, whose recordings have won all the major international record prizes and been nominated for 15 Grammys. Elgar’s First Symphony, hailed as an immediate and phenomenal success at its 1908 premiere, concludes the concert.
