This was written by a Viennese reviewer in 1790, the year in which this opera was first performed. We have nothing more to add...

That's how everyone does it - we do it differently! That alone is not enough to bring one of the greatest masterpieces of operatic literature to the stage. This summer, the Munich Chamber Opera dares to bid farewell to Mozart's opera buffa with “Così fan tutte”. In a fast and fresh staging - as always in its own version - the viewer experiences cheeky proposals, flattering vows of love and fake suicide attempts.

An ingenious piece for a chamber stage, in which the audience sits directly at the action and experiences first-hand how the psychological is expressed in the gestures and facial expressions of the performers. The abysmal behind the facade of an only apparently frivolous comedy of mistaken identity becomes light as a feather and penetratingly visible.
