Am 21.02.2020 hatte Mozarts "DIE ZAUBERFLÖTE" im Allee Theater - Hamburger Kammeroper Premiere.

Young Prince Tamino is sent by the Queen of the Night to rescue her daughter Pamina, who has been kidnapped by Prince Sarastro. Ironically, the odd bird catcher Papageno should help him. For their protection they are given a magic flute and a magic carillon. Both set off into a world full of adventures where nothing is as it first seems...

Hardly any stage work was and is performed more often than WA Mozart's Magic Flute. Their magic, especially that of the music, continues to cast a spell over audiences to this day. The readings for this opera seem inexhaustible. On the one hand, The Magic Flute captivates as an enchanting fairy tale that takes us back to the colorful world of children's imagination. But she also tells us an exciting dream about growing up and how hard it can be to find your own way in life in a seemingly chaotic world. And it is a journey into the world of emotions, in which the heroes live through all human emotions, from ardent love to revenge and deep despair. In short: it is a wonderfully poetic mirror of our existence.

For the first time since the Hamburg Chamber Opera was founded in 1996, we are looking into this “mirror” of The Magic Flute and taking you on an adventure into the world of human imagination.
