Einstein On The Beach (Einstein en la playa) es la primera y más famosa ópera del minimalismo, que irrumpió en el género con una experiencia escénica y musical radicalmente nueva. Su estreno en 1976 causó sensación y su impacto no disminuyó desde entonces, algo que pudo comprobarse con el éxito de esta versión creada para el Teatro Colón en 2023, con Martín Bauer liderando un “dream-team” creativo. Tres narradores e intérpretes, una docena de bailarines,  una soprano solista, un coro y un ensamble amplificados y los equipos de cine y de ópera despliegan un verdadero “tour de force” de más de tres horas sin interrupciones.

Einstein On The Beach is the first and most famous opera of minimalism, which burst into the genre with a radically new scenic and musical experience. Its premiere in 1976 caused a sensation and its impact has not diminished since then, something that could be seen with the success of this version created for the Teatro Colón in 2023, with Martín Bauer leading a creative “dream-team.” Three narrators and performers, a dozen dancers, a soprano soloist, an amplified choir and ensemble, and the film and opera teams display a true “tour de force” of more than three hours without interruptions.
