One summer evening, the famous librettist Tim Rice tuned in to a radio program about the life of Eva Duarte de Perón. What he heard sounded like a Cinderella fairy tale that really happened. The musical Evita tells the story of an extraordinarily charismatic woman. From an insignificant actress who played secondary roles, she rose to the head of the state. The illegitimate daughter became the wife of the Argentine dictator Juan Perón and the idol of the nation. A controversial saint who saddened the entire nation with her untimely death at just 33 years old. The theme song , Hush Your Crying, Argentino, flew around the world and is still one of the most famous hits of composer Andrew Lloyd Webber.
