Maria Callas is considered to be one of the last great divas in the opera world. The Greek-American opera singer was one of the most important sopranos of the 20th century. Michael Vaccaro, artistic director of Opera Classica Europa, was lucky enough to hear this great artist live in one of her last concerts on February 11, 1974 in Philadelphia / USA. This unforgettable experience made him want to hold a gala concert in honor of the legendary Maria Callas in Germany a long time ago.The tenor Massimo Sirigu, Teatro San Carlo, Naples, will enrich the evening with his wonderful Italian voice. The well-known Russian mezzo-soprano Polina Shamaeva, who has already celebrated success on numerous international stages, also awaits the visitors. And last but not least, you can look forward to two outstanding Russian talents: Julia Muzychenko and Sergey Kaydalov. The young soprano has won multiple international competitions, including first prize at the 'Concorso Internazionale Voci Verdiane' 2017 in Busseto, and the 27-year-old baritone, among other awards, received the lavish first prize at the 'Queen Sonja International Music Competition' in August 2019. in Norway.
