Conductor Soo-Yeoul CHOI, who is active as the artistic director of the Busan Philharmonic Orchestra and the chief conductor of the Korean Chamber Orchestra, will take up the baton. His chosen work is the Strauss- An Alpine Symphony. The Alpine Symphony is based on Strauss' childhood experience of living in the Alps Garmisch, and captures 22 landscapes of the Alps from dawn to dusk.

Rachmaninov's new arrangement of the theme from Paganini's last piece, Capriccio, is more colorful, demonic, and witty than any of his other musical compositions. It is a song loved for its complex technique and rich orchestral color, but is notorious for being difficult to perform by musicians.
