Hansel and Gretel are going through a lot. The parents are poor, there is little to eat, they have to work all the time and as a thank you the mother chases them into the forest. The crispy witch lives there and wants to kill them both. A brass quintet from the Bavarian State Orchestra presents a sound-picturesque instrumental version of the well-known family opera by Engelbert Humperdinck.

Hänsel und Gretel machen einiges durch. Die Eltern sind arm, es gibt wenig zu essen, ständig müssen sie arbeiten und zum Dank jagt die Mutter sie auch noch in den Wald. Dort haust die Knusperhexe, die den beiden ans Leben will. Ein Blechbläserquintett aus dem Bayerischen Staatsorchester präsentiert eine klangmalerische Instrumentalversion der bekannten Familienoper von Engelbert Humperdinck.
