IMPACT – an inner journey out of darkness – is an evolution of the performative installation "Inversion of a Future" by Amir Shpilman and Shiran Eliaserov. It brings a new viscerality to the experience of the human body through new operatic elements infused with live film stunts. The result of extensive research, supported by institutions such as DockART, the Berlin Senate and the Fonds Darstellende Künste, IMPACT brings together the interdisciplinary expertise of this creative team. Reimagining the heroic stunts and cinematic gestures of popular culture, IMPACT uncovers the fear, vulnerability, and mortality that lie within. In the course of a lifetime, a multitude of events pull us out of our daily lives and confront us with the issues of life and death. Some of these events are so powerful that they challenge the foundations of our own world in which we build our identity. We call these events "traumas". Traumas shatter our illusions and confront us with the unbearable revelation of our mortality. Everything becomes chaotic and meaningless. We are strangers to ourselves. Totally powerless in an unknown universe, without any idea of the game's new rules. Then begins an inner journey full of episodes and pitfalls in this infernal wonderland in pursuit of a familiar voice that must be tamed in order to sing a new story: our own.

IMPACT – vnitřní cesta ze tmy – je evolucí performativní instalace "Inverze budoucnosti“ (Inversion of a Future) Amira Shpilmana a Shiran Eliaserov. Do prožitku lidského těla vnáší novou vizualitu prostřednictvím nových operních prvků, které jsou propojeny s živou filmovou kaskadérskou akcí. IMPACT je výsledkem rozsáhlého výzkumu, který podpořily instituce jako DockART, Berlínský senát a Fonds Darstellende Künste, a spojuje interdisciplinární zkušenosti tohoto tvůrčího týmu. IMPACT přepracovává hrdinské kaskadérské kousky a filmová gesta známá z popkultury a odhaluje strach, zranitelnost a smrtelnost, které se v nich skrývají. Během života nás z každodenní reality vytrhne množství událostí, které nás konfrontují s otázkami života a smrti. Některé z těchto událostí jsou tak silné, že zpochybňují základy našeho vlastního světa, v němž budujeme svou identitu. Těmto událostem říkáme "traumata". Traumata boří naše iluze a konfrontují nás s nesnesitelným odhalením naší smrtelnosti. Vše se stává chaotickým a nesmyslným. Jsme sami sobě cizí. Zcela bezmocní v neznámém vesmíru, bez jakéhokoli ponětí o nových pravidlech hry. Pak začíná vnitřní cesta plná epizod a nástrah v této pekelné říši divů za známým hlasem, který je třeba zkrotit, aby mohl zpívat nový příběh: náš vlastní.
