Only two out of four voices are noted in the Mass. Two voices sing the same music, but in different time signatures. Because the measurements are also two, tense and prolatio. The voices begin in unison, but progressively the intervals of the entries change in this highly complex canon.
The a cappella composition Missa Prolationum  by the Flemish singer, clergyman and composer Ockeghem is preserved together with numerous other works of Franco-Flemish polyphony in the Codex Chigi in the Roman Bibliotheca Chigiana, which is based on the collection of Pope Alexander VII - that member of the Chigi family, who also wrote the Missa in Angustia Pestilentiaewas commissioned, which on 27.8. is performed in Ossiach. All things are invisibly connected.
