Created in 1896 in Turin, this opera in four scenes relates the destiny in Paris of three artists and a philosopher in the Latin Quarter of 1830.

According to Oscar Wilde, “Puccini was an Alfred de Musset writing musical notes”. With this opera, the composer transcends the realism of the libretto with music that intimately embraces the amorous passions experienced by the main characters. The Lyrica choir is once again teaming up with Facundo Agudín and the Orchester du Jura to reunite with Puccini, a little less than ten years after the performances of Tosca at the Passage. We find Orlando Niz there alongside Laurence Guillod and Rubén Amoretti, as well as other singers from French-speaking Switzerland, including the Neuchâtel resident Rémi Ortega.

Créé en 1896 à Turin, cet opéra en quatre tableaux relate la destinée à Paris de trois artistes et un philosophe dans le quartier latin de 1830.

Selon Oscar Wilde, « Puccini était un Alfred de Musset écrivant des notes de musique ». Avec cet opéra, le compositeur transcende le réalisme du livret par une musique épousant intimement les passions amoureuses vécues par les personnages principaux. Le chœur Lyrica s’associe une nouvelle fois à Facundo Agudín et à l’Orchestre du Jura pour retrouver Puccini, un peu moins de dix ans après les représentations de Tosca au Passage. On y retrouve Orlando Niz aux côtés de Laurence Guillod et Rubén Amoretti, ainsi que d’autres chanteur·ses de Suisse romande, dont le Neuchâtelois Rémi Ortega.
