Tot i la seva joventut i amb només cinc anys de carrera, el tenor nord-americà s’ha consolidat com un del tenors més sol·licitats de l’actualitat i ha establert una sòlida carrera a tot Europa. Nascut a Castro (Xile), Tetelman va créixer a Nova Jersey (EUA) i es va llicenciar –com a baríton– a la Manhattan School of Music als 22 anys, formació que va continuar al Mannes College de Nova York. Elogiat per una tècnica àgil, eloqüència dramàtica i una extensa paleta de colors vocals, el tenor gaudeix d’una reputació en el món de l’òpera com un artista entregat i versàtil. Recentment, ha signat un acord exclusiu de múltiples àlbums amb el segell discogràfic Deutsche Grammophon i ha llançat ARIAS, el seu àlbum debut avalat per la crítica i enregistrat juntament amb la Filharmònica de Gran Canària sota la batuta de Karel Mark Chichon. Considerat per molts com una estrella total, Tetelman ja ha actuat en prestigiosos escenaris internacionals com la Royal Opera House londinenca, el Teatro Regio de Torí, la Semperoper Desden, el Gran Teatre del Liceu i els coliseus operístics de San Francisco i Houston. Properament tornarà a la Deutsche Oper Berlin i a l’Òpera Estatal de Viena just abans de fer el seu debut al Festival de Peralada amb un recital d’àries i cançons al costat de Daniel Heide al piano. Com a compromisos de futur, l’espera el debut a la Metropolitan Opera House amb dues òperes, el debut en el paper de Luigi a Il Tabarro, Werther a Baden-Baden i un nou àlbum amb obres de Puccini. Una nova descoberta lírica arriba a Peralada amb nom de Jonathan Tetelman.

Despite his youth and only five years into his career, the American tenor has established himself as one of the most in-demand tenors today and has established a solid career throughout Europe. Born in Castro (Chile), Tetelman grew up in New Jersey (USA) and graduated – as a baritone – from the Manhattan School of Music at the age of 22, training that continued at Mannes College in New York. Praised for agile technique, dramatic eloquence and an extensive palette of vocal colors, the tenor enjoys a reputation in the operatic world as a dedicated and versatile performer. He recently signed an exclusive multi-album deal with the Deutsche Grammophon record label and released ARIAS, his critically acclaimed debut album recorded together with the Gran Canaria Philharmonic under the baton of Karel Mark Chichon. Considered by many to be a total star, Tetelman has already performed in prestigious international stages such as the Royal Opera House in London, the Teatro Regio in Turin, the Semperoper Desden, the Gran Teatre del Liceu and the operatic coliseums of San Francisco and Houston. He will soon return to the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Vienna State Opera just before making his debut at the Peralada Festival with a recital of arias and songs alongside Daniel Heide at the piano. As future engagements, he awaits the debut at the Metropolitan Opera House with two operas, the debut in the role of Luigi in Il Tabarro, Werther in Baden-Baden and a new album with works by Puccini.
