Finding meaning where others only think of a beautiful sound is the declared goal of the hermeneutic deep drilling of the directing duo Jossi Wieler and Sergio Morabito. And so, in their second production of a Bellini opera in 2012, they uncovered the deeper layers of the supposedly superficial characters through precise text analysis. After a guest performance at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Wieler and Morabito's successful production of Bellini's "Nightwalker" returns to the repertoire of the Staatsoper Stuttgart and is brought to life again by a bel canto dream ensemble around Helene Schneiderman and Catriona Smith as well as Charles Sy and Claudia pussyo.

Dort Sinn zu finden, wo andere nur Schönklang wähnen, ist das erklärte Ziel der hermeneutischen Tiefenbohrungen des Regieduos Jossi Wieler und Sergio Morabito. Und so legten sie auch bei ihrer zweiten Inszenierung einer Bellini-Oper 2012 durch genaue Textanalyse die tieferen Schichten der vermeintlich so oberflächlichen Figuren frei. Wielers und Morabitos Erfolgsinszenierung von Bellinis „Nachtwandlerin“ kehrt nach einem Gastspiel an der Deutschen Oper Berlin zurück auf den Spielplan der Staatsoper Stuttgart und wird hier erneut zum Leben erweckt von einem Belcanto-Traum-Ensemble um Helene Schneiderman und Catriona Smith sowie Charles Sy und Claudia Muschio.
