The famous old brass ensemble from Toulouse, loyal to the Opéra national du Capitole, returns this season for two programs as exciting as they are original. El Fuego is a flamboyant tribute to the musical heritage of the Spanish Renaissance, around the little-known work of Mateo Flecha (1481-1553): songs, romances and villancicos make up this evening full of fire!
The concert  Le Jazz et la Pavane  (an echo of Nougaro and “Le jazz et la java”) reveals the unsuspected similarities between two effervescent traditions, that of jazz and that of Renaissance music: the same practice of improvisation, the same spirit of freedom and inventiveness, entrusted here to a tasty mix of ancient and modern instruments.
