From his first performance as a soloist in the choir of the Sistine Chapel to the role of leading tenor in the world's most prestigious theaters, Vittorio Grigol 's career is a story of talent, passion and dedication. Vittorio Grigolo was born in Arezzo and grew up in Rome. Precisely in the Eternal City, at only 13 years old he performed as a young shepherd in Tosca in the Roman Opera alongside the great Luciano Pavarotti, after which he was affectionately called Il Pavarottino . In 2000, at the age of 23, he was the youngest tenor to open the theater season of La Scala in Milan, with a concert dedicated to Verdi. Grigolo performs on the most important stages of the world, under the direction of famous conductors such as Riccardo Chailly, Lorin Maazel, Zubin Mehta, Riccardo Muti, Myung-Whun Chung, Daniel Oren and Antonio Pappano. In 2010, with the role of Rodolfo in the opera La Bohème , he shone as a new shining star of the Metropolitan Opera in New York. Vittorio Grigol's repertoire includes title roles in Italian and French operas: Traviata, La Bohème, Rigoletto , Love Potion , Lucia di Lammermoor , Faust , Romeo and Juliet, Manon ,The stories of Hoffmann, Werther , etc. The debut album In the Hands of Love (platinum release), West Side Story by Bernstein and a nomination for a Grammy , and albums recorded for Sony Classical, testify to extremely great discographic successes. In his desire to bring opera closer to young people, he was the first to realize performances of two famous operas on the most unusual "opera boards": La Traviata at Zurich Central Station (2008) and Love Potion at Milan's Malpensa Airport (2015). Grigolo portrayed the Duke of Mantua in the television film Rigoletto a Mantova and performed an unforgettable role in the acclaimed live satellite broadcast of the opera La Bohèmefrom the Metropolitan Opera directed by Franco Zeffirelli, which was followed by the Zagreb audience on the "biggest screen in Croatia" as part of the Metropolitan cycle in Lisinski . Vittorio Grigolo rođen je u Arezzu, a odrastao u Rimu. Za umjetnički rad Grigolo je primio brojne nagrade i priznanja, potvrđujući svoj status jednoga od najvećih tenora današnjice, u što će se i zagrebačka publika imati prilike uvjeriti na Grigolovu prvom gostovanju uživo u Dvorani Lisinski.
