Miska Mágnás, Albert Szirmai's most successful operetta, deals with a topic that is dear to our national character: the depiction of the unscrupulous elite. Count Korláthy wants to add his daughter to Count Eleméry, who has been hunting in Africa for years, but Rolla is already in a relationship with Barac, a “simple” engineer. Baracs decides to teach the corrupt and hypocritical company, who don't even count, and persuades Miska, Eleméry's horseman, to surrender to the count. The situation is exacerbated when Marcsa, Miska’s love, also enters the dress-up game to replace the ever-jealous equestrian child and break free from the cymbal world.
