Johann Sebastian Bach offers something for the ears, heart and, this time, for the eyes too: Accompanied by a film language that has been specially developed for the project, the Ensemble Diderot offer their audience in the night-time Abbey Church a comprehensibly sensuous experience of Bach’s music. On three giant screens, the video art becomes the sixth member of the ensemble, reacting to the music and the musicians’ body language and making it possible to experience them in a magical way. Bach’s “Musical Offering” becomes a total work of art, inspiring the audience to engage in a new way in the dialogue between intellect and emotion.
