МОЯТА ПРЕКРАСНА ЛЕЙДИ

Знаково и любимо заглавие от света на мюзикъла „Моята прекрасна лейди“ с нова музикална премяна пристига на „Варненско лято“. Еделина Кънева, която е пяла централните роли и в опери като ‘Трубадур”, и в оперети – “Графиня Марица” и “Прилепът”, и в мюзикъли като “Котки”, “Мис Сайгон”, да не забравяме и превъплъщението й в Дона Шеридан в Mamma Mia, ще си партнира с друг солист на Музикалния театър – Марчо Апостолов. В неговата музикална биография се открояват партии във “Веселата вдовица”, “Граф фон Люксембург”, “Кабаре”, “Исус Христос суперзвезда”. Двамата се включват в този специален музикален прочит на прочутия мюзикъл, а именно – за духов квинтет. Квинтет, но какъв – “Пилекадонe”, които си създадоха реноме на състав, който обича да съчетава изкуствата и да навлиза в нови територии, винаги с прецизна музикална интерпретация. Това им носи “Златна лира” за върхови постижения и много публика, не само в България, но и в Италия, Англия, Унгария! Пламен Проданов е автор на тази музикална адаптация, която ще ни потопи в историята, вдъхновила и Бродуей, и Холивуд, запазвайки връзката с първообраза – „Пигмалион“ на Бърнард Шоу. Едно преживяване за всички сетива, едновременно иновативно и романтично, красиво и увличащо! Защото “Моята прекрасна лейди“ продължава да очарова всички, където и да бъде представяна по света.

MY FAIR LADY

My Fair Lady – one of the most spectacular musicals of all time is coming to Varna in a special arrangement for wind quintet with Bulgarian singers in leading roles! Edelina Kaneva who sings leading roles in operas such as Verdi’s Trovatore; in operettas like Kalman’s Countess Maritza and Strauss’ Das Fledermaus and in musicals – Cats by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Mis Saigon by Claude-Michel Schonberg, not to forget her portraying Donna Sheridan in Mamma Mia. She will appear on the stage together with another of the finest soloists of the National Musical Theatre in Sofia – Marcho Apostolov (in his list of roles are Count von Luxembourg and Jesus Christ Superstar among others). The arrangement of My Fair Lady for a wind quintet made by Plamen Prodanov and the quintet Pilekadone is a musical bijou itself. Regularly requested to perform at all major festivals in Bulgaria, recently they presented some of their special programs also in Italy, England and Hungary. The five musicians have a long history together, gradually reaching a high level of artistic proficiency. They love to connect arts and to find the best intersection between music and literature, music and dance, etc. Their adaptation of My Fair Lady – the musical that had tempted both Broadway and Hollywood, is quite innovative but at the same time it keeps the traditions of Bernard Shaw’s original Pygmalion story. Pilekadone and the soloists will remind us once again why everybody loves My Fair Lady.
