The operetta genre is generally regarded as the epitome of comic music theater in the German cultural area. It's easy to forget the influence of Jacques Offenbach's ironic, socially critical works on the emergence of this genre. Simultaneously with the heyday of operetta, which we associate with names like Strauss, Lehár and Kálmán, the author duo Gilbert and Sullivan are celebrating in Victorian England

with their crazy works just as triumphs as the zarzuela in the Spanish-speaking world, whose great arias enchant the audience no less than Lehár's Dein ist mein Herzen . The Philharmonic Orchestra cordially invites you to this journey through the dream world of the operetta, which brings popular melodies to life as well as the unheard - in other words, operetta international.
