« Pour amener cette chose la plus intime à une expression radicale, l’espace entre l’opéra et le théâtre est la forme parfaite », écrit Lisaboa Houbrechts, qui réunit sur scène acteurs et chanteurs, et ajoute à son récit La Passion selon saint Jean de Bach, qui trouve ici un nouvel éclairage : « Dans le contexte de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, la lutte entre ceux qui défendent le roi des Juifs et ceux qui veulent le tuer prend une tout autre dimension. »
