The golden brooch to close the 22-23 Season with the presence, for the first time on the Baluarte stage, of one of the great stars of world opera: the tenor Piotr Beczala. A regular in all the great opera houses in the world, after the forced closure due to the pandemic, he has returned this season to the Metropolitan in New York with two of his most acclaimed roles: the Duke of Mantua in Rigoletto by Verdi and Lensky in Eugene Onegin by Tchaikovsky. The Polish tenor is acclaimed by the public and critics not only for the beauty of his voice, but also for his fervent commitment to each character he plays. Beczala, as the specialized magazine Opera News said, “has a type of voice, from which you would like to hang medals”.

Habitual en todas las grandes salas de ópera del mundo, tras el obligado cierre por la pandemia, ha regresado esta temporada al Metropolitan de Nueva York con dos de sus papeles más aclamados: el Duque de Mantua en Rigoletto de Verdi y Lensky en Eugene Onegin de Chaikovsky.
