Dobro uigrana ekipa nove muzičke komedije Company, na čelu sa Slavenom Došlom, u društvu koje čine: Vanja Milačić, Daniel Sič, Branislava Podrumac, Žarko Stepanov, Ivana Popović, Hadži Nenad Maričić, Olivera Bacić, Petar Đurđević, Nataša Marković, Nikola Bulatović, Jelena Jovičić, Tanja Živković i Tatjana Dimitrijević, kao i plesačica Irina Lazić, je spremna za premijerno izvođenje u petak 15. marta od 19.30 časova. Ovaj netipičan brodvejski mjuzikl Stivena Sondhajma je pravi muzički biser koji je svog autora postavio na zasluženo mesto jednog od vodećih autora muzičkog pozorišta. Nastao sedamdesetih godina, po knjizi Džordža Furta, ovaj ogled o partnerskim odnosima u velikom gradu je više nego aktuelan i u našem trenutku. Robert, neženja u tridesetim, ima za prijatelje pet bračnih parova, a ostavljaju ga tri devojke – to bi mogao da bude najkraći opis ove muzičke komedije. Scene su fragmentarne: okvir priče je Robertova rođendanska zabava na koju su pozvani njegovi prijatelji. Svi brakovi koje vidimo u ovom komadu funkcionišu prema istom modelu: zasnovani su na malim prevarama, iritirajućim navikama i neobičnim kapricima supružnika.

Ovu dinamičnu i zabavnu predstavu, punu muzičkog sjaja i energije, odlikuje visoki umetnički kvalitet u svakom segmentu. Autorski deo ekipe predvodi reditelj Nebojša Bradić, koji je osmislio dinamičan prostor igre u saradnji sa scenografima Geroslavom Zarićem i Vladislavom Cunnington  i u atraktivnim kostimima Marine Medenice. Izvođače je muzički pripremila i predstavom diriguje Vesna Šouc, koja je zajedno sa Jovanom Jezdović uradila i prepev stihova, po prevodu Zorana i Ivane Paunović, dok je za igračke numere i scenski pokret zadužena koreograf Vera Obradović. Originalna produkcija na Brodveju iz 1970, koju je radio i režirao Harold Princ, dok je orkestraciju radio Džonatan Tunik, osvojila je šest Tonija, rađene su mnoge obnove ovog mjuzikla a ona iz 2022. je osvojila Toni nagradu za obnovu.

Sondhajm sebe smatra romantikom, za sebe kaže „Mene je lako dirnuti, ja volim da budem dirnut“. Zato, po rečima reditelja Nebojše Bradića, u svom mjuziklu Sondhajm jasno kaže da je veoma teško biti emocionalno povezan sa drugim, ali i da je nemoguće biti sam. „Biti zajedno s nekim znači biti živ, a ne biti zajedno je – smrt. Robert nema predodređenu partnerku. U pesmi Neko me čeka, Robert se pita: „Da li ću je prepoznati ako je sretnem? Možda smo se promašili? Možda sam je izgubio?“ Završna pesma u mjuziklu je Živeti. Standardni mjuzikl bi na tom mestu prikazao ženu i muškarca koji su se spojili u ljubavi. U Company imamo muškarca koji je sam na sceni. Ipak, on nije potpuno sam – prigrlio je ideju braka. U suštini, on tome više ne vidi alternativu: „Ali živ sam, a ne sam.“ Želeti, naravno, znači preduzimati rizik nedobijanja; želeti nešto ostavlja čoveka otvorenim za mogućnost da bude ranjen i, na koncu, razočaran. I pre nego što je sreo ženu, Robert prihvata da može da bude povređen. O tome je zapravo reč u mjuziklu Company koji ćete gledati u Madlenianumu.“

Po rečima Vesne Šouc: „Gledalac ovog mjuzikla će uživati u glamuroznom, raskošnom, brodvejskom zvuku. Kompletna muzička koncepcija čini ovo sjajno delo inovativnim. Bazirajući se na tradicionalnim osnovama Sondhajm gradi autentičan, prepoznatljiv izraz. Svojim visoko sofisticiranim stilom i osobenim kompozitorskim postupcima Sondhajm je stvorio sasvim nove muzičke prostore i oblike. Smelo prožimajući dramski i muzički tekst, ubacujući dijaloge u toku muzičkih numera postigao je novu dinamiku. Muzički zahtevi su izuzetno složeni, a svaka numera postavlja sasvim nove vokalne izazove. Dodatni izazov je i naša odluka da orkestar bude dispozicioniran u dubini scene, iza glumaca, što podrazumeva perfektnu uvežbanost celog ansambla, solista i orkestra. Odlična orkestracija sa maštovitim kombinacijama instrumenata daje raskošni kolorit. Pred svima nama stoji briljantna predstava, inspirativan zadatak koji podrazumeva maksimalnu posvećenost, koncentraciju i uživanje u svakom trenutku kreacije, ali isključivo zajednički, prijateljski...ili kako se to u pesmi Side by side kaže „Jedni uz druge, rame uz rame,...Mi smo Company“!“

The well-coordinated team of the new musical comedy Company , headed by Slaven Doslo , in the company of: Vanja Milačić, Daniel Sič, Branislava Podrumac, Žarko Stepanov, Ivana Popović, Hadži Nenad Maričić, Olivera Bacić, Petar Đurđević, Nataša Marković, Nikola Bulatović, Jelena Jovičić, Tanja Živković and Tatjana Dimitrijević, as well as the dancer Irina Lazić, are ready for the premiere performance on Friday, March 15 at 7:30 p.m. This atypical Broadway musical by Stephen Sondheim is a true musical pearl that has placed its author in the rightful place as one of the leading authors of musical theater. Created in the 1970s, based on the book by George Furth, this essay about partner relationships in a big city is more than relevant even in our time. Robert, a bachelor in his thirties, has five married couples as friends, and three girlfriends leave him - that could be the shortest description of this musical comedy. The scenes are fragmentary: the frame of the story is Robert's birthday party to which his friends are invited. All the marriages we see in this play operate according to the same model: they are based on petty deceptions, irritating habits and unusual whims of the spouses.

This dynamic and entertaining show, full of musical splendor and energy, is characterized by high artistic quality in every segment. The author's part of the team is led by the director Nebojša Bradić, who designed the dynamic space of the game in cooperation with set designers  Geroslav Zarić and  Vladislava Cunnington  and in attractive costumes by Marina Medenica. The performers were prepared musically and the show is conducted by Vesna Šouc , who, together with Jovana Jezdović , sang the lyrics, translated by Zoran and Ivana Paunović , while the choreographer Vera Obradović is in charge of the game numbers and stage movement . The original 1970 Broadway production, written and directed by Harold Prince and orchestrated by Jonathan Tunick, won six Tonys, there have been many revivals of this musical, and the 2022 revival won a Tony Award.

Sondheim considers himself a romantic, he says of himself "I am easily touched, I like to be touched." That is why, according to the director Nebojsa Bradić, in his musical Sondheim clearly states that it is very difficult to be emotionally connected to another, but also that it is impossible to be alone. "To be together with someone means to be alive, and not to be together is death." Robert does not have a predetermined partner. In the song Someone's Waiting for Me , Robert wonders, "Will I recognize her if I meet her?" Maybe we missed it? Maybe I've lost her?” The final song in the musical is Live . A standard musical would show a woman and a man coming together in love at that point. In Company we have a man who is alone on stage. However, he is not completely alone - he has embraced the idea of ​​marriage. In essence, he no longer sees an alternative to this: "But I am alive and not alone." To want, of course, is to take the risk of not getting; wanting something leaves one open to the possibility of being wounded and, ultimately, disappointed. Even before meeting the woman, Robert accepts that he can be hurt. That's actually what the musical Company is about, which you'll see at the Madlenianum."

In the words of Vesna Shoutz: "The audience of this musical will enjoy the glamorous, opulent, Broadway sound." The complete musical conception makes this great work innovative. Based on traditional foundations, Sondheim builds an authentic, recognizable expression. With his highly sophisticated style and distinctive compositional methods, Sondheim created entirely new musical spaces and forms. Boldly permeating the dramatic and musical text, inserting dialogues in the course of the musical numbers, he achieved a new dynamic. The musical requirements are extremely complex, and each track poses completely new vocal challenges. An additional challenge is our decision to place the orchestra in the depth of the stage, behind the actors, which implies perfect rehearsal of the entire ensemble, soloists and orchestra. Excellent orchestration with imaginative combinations of instruments gives a sumptuous color. Before all of us is a brilliant performance, an inspiring task that implies maximum commitment, concentration and enjoyment in every moment of creation, but exclusively together, friendly... or as it is said in the song Side by side , "One by one, side by side." ..We are Company "!"
