Si l’œuvre de musique de chambre de Mozart ne comporte que peu de duos, ceux interprétés ici ont l’originalité d’avoir été composés en deux jours et deux nuits et d’avoir été livrés sous le nom de Michael Haydn (frère de Joseph) afin d’aider ce dernier à répondre à une commande ! Mais c’est bien Mozart qui a composé ces magnifiques duos pour violon et alto que nous offrent ici le talentueux Renaud Capuçon, qu’on ne présente plus, et Paul Zientara, jeune prodige de l’alto.

If Mozart's chamber music work includes only a few duets, those performed here have the originality of having been composed in two days and two nights and of having been delivered under the name of Michael Haydn (brother of Joseph) in order to help the latter respond to an order! But it is indeed Mozart who composed these magnificent duets for violin and viola that the talented Renaud Capuçon , who needs no introduction, and Paul Zientara, young viola prodigy, offer us here .
