Опера «Риголетто» / Челябинский театр оперы и балета

Rigoletto is an action-packed drama by Victor Hugo and legendary music by Giuseppe Verdi.

The production of the famous Russian director Vyacheslav Starodubtsev is a bright, dynamic and spectacular two-act opera.

Well-known artists from St. Petersburg and Moscow worked on the design of the performance: Pyotr Okunev, Zhanna Usacheva, Sergey Skornetsky.

“In designing the costumes, I took inspiration from the paintings of Renaissance artists such as Giuseppe Arcimboldo and Michelangelo da Caravaggio. But I still didn’t want to “leave” in documentaries. And in some places I even had to misbehave ,” says costume designer Zhanna Usacheva.

The plastic director was the actor of the Roman Viktyuk Theater Sergey Zakharin (Moscow).

"Rigoletto" replenished the repertoire of the Chelyabinsk theater in February 2019, and four months later the performance was successfully presented in the capital on the New Stage of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia.

An interesting director's decision, luxurious scenery and costumes, as well as the virtuosic skills of the artists of the Chelyabinsk Opera and Ballet Theater will not leave indifferent even the most sophisticated spectator.
