Special Tchaikovsky Concert with Maestro Myungwhun Chung and Jaehong Park, winner of the 2021 Ferrucio Busoni International Piano Competition Tchaikovsky is Korea’s most beloved composer for his sorrowful and deep melodies. Among them, Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 6, through which the audience can fully feel the Romanticism of Russian music, contains the essence of Tchaikovsky's orchestral work, with a dramatic tension and delicateness shining from within the solid structure that even Tchaikovsky himself evaluated as the best among all of his works. It expresses the emotions of tragedy that deny all life, such as fear, despair, and defeat, in an abstract way rather than describing specific events or individual emotions. In particular, Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 6 “Pathétique” is Myungwhun Chung’s representative repertoire. Although he is mainly active in European stages including France, Germany, and Italy, he professes that he most looks forward to performing in Korea, raising anticipations for his collaboration with Gyeonggi Philharmonic Orchestra. Jae Hong Park, winner of the Ferrucio Busoni International Piano Competition in 2021, will join the stage. He received rave reviews for both technique and musical talent in his performance of Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 4 with Gyeonggi Philharmonic Orchestra in 2021, and this time he is set to perform Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1. After the first movement, the sounds of both violin and orchestra grow more brilliant toward the end of this famous piece. List
