CHOC to stage Handel's Tamerlano
Handel’s most intense psychological drama, Tamerlano (1724) is presented in a fully staged production by Cambridge Handel Opera Company. It tracks the anguished love of all its characters through an obsessive power-struggle between two intransigent rulers, to a tragic end. CHOC’s production of Tamerlano was originally due to be staged in April 2020. Owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, the performances have been postponed until April 5, 6, 8 and 9 2022. These will start at 7pm and will take place at The Great Hall, The Leys School, Cambridge. There will also be a Study Afternoon from 2pm to 5pm on April 9.
