Čim su to epidemiološke mere dozvolile u Operi i teatru Madlenianum krenulo se sa radom na novom mjuziklu, savremenoj ljubavnoj priči Poslednjih pet godina njujorškog kompozitora Džejsona Roberta Brauna (Jason Robert Brown). Mjuzikl o ljubavnoj aferi i braku koji su trajali pet godina, u režiji Roberta Boškovića, pod dirigentskom palicom Vesne Šouc i u koreografiji Milice Cerović, svakodnevno vredno spremaju Branislava Podrumac, Žarko Stepanov, Mina Gligorić i Dimitrije Cincar Kostić. Deo autorske ekipe su i Vesna Režić scenograf, Snežana Pešić kostimograf, Srđan Jovanović dizajn svetla, Dušan Arsikin dizajn zvuka, dok 3D mapping, holograme i projekcije rade Matej Bodrušić i Aleksandar Rapajić. Prevod i prepev stihova: Vesna Šouc i Jovana Jezdović.

Priča prati Džejmija mladog, talentovanog, jevrejskog pisca koji se zaljubljuje u Keti, glumicu koja se muči da izgradi svoju karijeru. Njihova ljubavna priča, od upoznavanja, braka, razmirica i razlaza, tokom petogodišnjeg perioda, je napravljena kao muzička "dekonstrukcija" ljubavnog odnosa. Sve Ketine pesme počinju završetkom njihovog braka i vraćaju se u doba ljubavi, dok Džejmijeve pesme počinju kada su započeli vezu i idu ka kraju braka, a „sreću“ se u trenutku prosidbe. Mjuzikl se izvodi u aranžmanu sa Music Teatrom International (Europe) Limited: www.mtishows.eu. Prva premijera je planirana 15. maja, a druga premijera 16. maja na Velikoj sceni Madlenianuma. 

Kompozitor Džejson Robert Braun je godinama radio kao pijanista u noćnim klubovima i kabareima dok nije sreo Dejzi Princ (Daisy Prince), ćerku čuvenog brodvejskog producenta i reditelja Hala Princa (Harold Prince). Zajednički su napravili brojne mjuzikle, a njihov treći mjuzikl Poslednjih pet godina koji je premijerno izveden u Čikagu 2001. godine, seli se na Of Brodvej. Najveći uspeh je postigao Braunov mjuzikl Parada za koji je osvojio nagradu „Toni“ za najbolju partituru.

Radeći uporedo na muzičkim, režijskim i koreografskim probama naši telentovani umetnici su se predano posvetili pripremi ovog komada. Branislava Podrumac, sopran čarobnog glasa velike moći transformacije, koja sa podjednakom lakoćom vlada scenom u operskim Čarobna frula, Suton i Pajaci, operetskim predstavama Vesela udovica i Bečka krv, i pre svega mjuziklima Rebeka, Jadnici, ali i u dramskim ulogama (Male tajne) već dugi niz godina peva na sceni Madlenianuma u nosećim i zapaženim ulogama. Vrstan koncertni izvođač u različitim žanrovima svoju superionost je pokazala i u poslednjoj našoj produkciji Svetlosti pozornice, premijerno izvedenoj 30. januara 2021.

Žarko Stepanov, glumac, ali i kontrabasista, je rođeni Novosađanin. Odatle verovatno njegova smirenost u ophođenju i rafirman u radu sa kolegama. Stalni je član Pozorišta na Terazijama u kojima je odigrao glavne uloge u vodećim mjuziklima, a u Operi i teatru Madlenianum je od 2007. godine kada je zaigrao u mjuziklu Jadnici, da bi zatim dao veoma upečatljivu ulogu Bena u mjuziklu Rebeka, pa sve do poslednje operetske premijere Vesela udovica gde maestralno igra Barona od Zete, glavnog pokretača događaja. Uloga Džejmija je njegova prva glavna uloga u Madlenianumu.

Mina Gligorić, sopran je nova nada na našoj sceni koja se veoma brzo nametnula kao solistkinja na koju apsolutno možemo računati. Uz svoj prepoznatljivi glas, Mina je debitovala kao Pamina u operi Čarobna frula, sjajna je kao Valensijen u Veseloj udovici, Kozeta i Fantina u Jadnicima, ali i kao Hana Glavari u Veseloj udovici koju je pevala na početku ove sezone spašavajući rasprodatu predstavu. Naša publika je može gledati i u muzičkom igrokazu Svetlosti pozornice.

O mladom tenoru Dimitriju Cincar Kostiću tek će se čuti. Momak finih manira i višestrukih talenata (svira violinu, nosilac crnog pojasa u karateu, pravnik po struci) posle završenog solo pevanja u klasi profesora Nenada Nenića u MŠ “Kosta Manojlović” usavršava se kod Katarine Jovanović na FMU i nadamo se da će ove godine nastaviti školovanje na ovom fakultetu, kao vanredni talenat. Tokom pevačkog školovanja, takmičio se i osvajao mnogobrojne nagrade, od kojih su najznačajnije prva nagrada i zvanje laureata na Republičkom takmičenju 2017. godine i prva nagrada na Republičkom takmičenju 2019. godine. Od 2017. godine član je ansambla mjuzikla Jadnici u Operi i teatru Madlenianum, a od 2018. godine postaje član horskog ansambla Pozorišta na Terazijama. Njegov debi kao Grofa Danila u opereti Vesela udovica i danas se pamti. Opera i teatar Madlenianum s ponosom ističe da je ovaj mladi, talentovani čovek deo ansambl predstave Svetlosti pozornice.

As soon as the epidemiological measures allowed it, the Madlenianum Opera and Theater started working on a new musical, a contemporary love story The Last Five Years by the New York composer Jason Robert Brown . A musical about a love affair and a marriage that lasted five years, directed by Robert Bošković , conducted by Vesna Šouc and choreographed by Milica Cerović , is prepared daily by Branislava Podrumac, Žarko Stepanov , Mina Gligorić and Dimitrije Cincar Kostić . Set designer Vesna Režić , costume designer Snežana Pešić are also part of the author's team .Srđan Jovanović light design, Dušan Arsika sound design, while 3D mapping, holograms and projections are done by Matej Bodrušić and Aleksandar Rapajić . The story follows Jamie, a young, talented, Jewish writer who falls in love with Kathy, an actress struggling to build her career. Their love story, from meeting, marriage, disagreements and separation, during a five-year period, is made as a musical "deconstruction" of a love relationship. All of Kathy's songs start with the end of their marriage and go back to the time of love, while Jamie's songs start when they started the relationship and go towards the end of the marriage, and "meet" at the moment of the proposal. The musical is performed in an arrangement with Music Theater International (Europe) Limited: www.mtishows.eu . The first premiere is planned for May 15 , and the second premiere  for May 16 on the Great Stage of the Madlenianum. 

Composer Jason Robert Brown worked for years as a pianist in night clubs and cabarets until he met Daisy Prince, the daughter of the famous Broadway producer and director Hal Prince (Harold Prince). Together they created numerous musicals, and their third musical The Last Five Years , which premiered in Chicago in 2001, moved to Off Broadway. The biggest success was Brown's musical Parade , for which he won the "Tony" award for best score.

Working simultaneously on musical, directing and choreographic rehearsals, our talented artists dedicated themselves to the preparation of this piece. Branislava Podrumac , a soprano with a magical voice of great power of transformation, who rules the stage with equal ease in the operas The Magic Flute, Suton i Pajaci , the operetta plays Happy Widow and Vička krv, and above all the musicals Rebeka, Jadnica , but also in dramatic roles ( Male tajne ) already For many years he has been singing on the stage of the Madlenianum in supporting and notable roles. A quality concert performer in various genres, she showed her excellence in our last production of Stage Lights ., premiered on January 30, 2021.

Žarko Stepanov , actor and double bass player, was born in Novi Sad. That's probably where his calm demeanor and firmness in working with colleagues come from. He is a permanent member of the Terazije Theater where he played the main roles in leading musicals, and he has been in the Madlenianum Opera and Theater since 2007 when he played in the musical Jadnica , and then gave the very impressive role of Ben in the musical Rebeka , until the last operetta premiere of The Merry Widow , where he masterfully plays the Baron of Zeta, the main initiator of the event. The role of Jamie is his first leading role in the Madeleine.

Mina Gligorić , soprano, is a new hope on our stage who very quickly established herself as a soloist that we can absolutely count on. With her recognizable voice, Mina made her debut as Pamina in the opera The Magic Flute , she is great as Valenciennes in The Merry Widow , Cosette and Fantine in Jadniki , but also as Hana Glavari in The Merry Widow , which she sang at the beginning of this season saving a sold-out show. Our audience can also watch it in the musical play Light of the Stage .

The young tenor Dimitri Cincar Kostić will not be heard from again. A guy with fine manners and multiple talents (he plays the violin, holds a black belt in karate, is a lawyer by profession), after finishing solo singing in the class of Professor Nenad Nenić at the "Kosta Manojlović" Elementary School, he is improving his skills with Katarina Jovanović at the FMU and we hope that he will continue this year. education at this faculty, as an extraordinary talent. During his singing education, he competed and won numerous awards, the most significant of which are the first prize and the title of laureate at the Republic Competition in 2017 and the first prize at the Republic Competition in 2019. Since 2017, he has been a member of the ensemble of the musical Jadniciin the Opera and Theater Madlenianum, and since 2018 he has been a member of the choir ensemble of the Terazije Theater. His debut as Count Danilo in the operetta The Merry Widow is still remembered today. Madlenianum Opera and Theater is proud to point out that this young, talented man is part of the ensemble of the play Light of the Stage .
