The production is in the style of the spirit of the Romantic drama. The action takes place in Rome at the turn of 18th to 19th century, when the world was shaken by the drive to democracy. The means of the modern multimedia effects enhance the feeling of historical authenticity.  The themes of love, freedom, self-sacrifice, dictatorship and authorized violence are developed up to the rank of ultimate generalization of the tragic contrasts in human nature.
