Roberto Catalano was born in Palermo in 1985 He has a university degree in Philosophy and Ethics. In 2014 he won the director’s competition of Festival Orizzonti of Chiusi (SI) with the diptych Pierrot Lunaire and Gianni Schicchi. Also in 2014, in the occasion of the project “La Scuola va al Massimo”, he directed Otello and Don Giovanni at Teatro Massimo in Palermo. In 2016, he worked as writer and director for the project of AsLiCo “OperaEducation”, a new version of La Bohème at Teatro Sociale in Como, Teatro Franco Parenti in Milan and the Philharmonic Academy in Rome.
