Seung Won Choi

Seoul-born bass Seungwon Choi began his vocal training at his hometown's Yonsei University. Since 2017 he has continued his singing studies at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts. He completed master classes with Helmut Deutsch and Claudia Eder. His repertoire includes roles such as Bartolo (»The Marriage of Figaro«), Osmin (»The Abduction from the Seraglio«), Sarastro (»The Magic Flute«), Commander (»Don Giovanni«) and Don Alfonso (»Così fan tutte «), Colline (»La Bohème«), Dulcamara (»L'elisir d'amore«), Brandon (»The Long Christmas Dinner«) and the bass solo in Verdi's »Messa da Requiem«. Seungwon Choi was also heard as a deputy in Verdi's Don Carlos at the Frankfurt Opera. In 2018 he was awarded the special prize of the jury at the International Opera Singing Competit
