Biography
Ulla Kudsk Jensen trained at the Music Conservatory in Aarhus and the Opera Academy in Gothenburg. She continued her studies in New York and Bayreuth, Germany. She works at the Royal Opera in Copenhagen, where she currently has sung the role as Magdalone in the opera ‘Masquerade’ by the famous Danish composer, Carl Nielsen. She also sang the role as Magdalone at Den Fynske Opera in February/March 2017. In Aarhus she recently sang the part as The Mother in Elverskud by Niels W. Gade with Aarhus Symphony Orchestra conducted by Michael Schønwandt. At the Aarhus Summer Opera, she sang the role as Granny in the brand-new opera ‘Laenker’ (Chains) by the Danish composer Svend Hvidtfelt Nielsen. At Den Jyske Opera Ulla sang the part as Starenka in Jenufa. She also sings the roles as Mary in ‘The F
