Valeria Tornatore was born in Palermo and studied at the Conservatorio Vincenzo Bellini and is an ex-member of the Accademia de la Scala in Milan from 2009 to 2011. She won prizes in numerous international voice Competitions including the Riccardo Zandonai Competition, Aslico and the Francisco Vinas Competition of Barcelona. She studied at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena with Renato Bruson from 2006 to 2009. In 2005, she made her debut at the Teatro Manoel of Malta as Fidalma (Il Matrimonio Segreto, Cimarosa). She returned to this theater in 2006 as Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia. In January 2008, she sang in Stravinsky's La Pulcinella conducted by Gabriele Ferro in the city of Bari. In February 2009, she sang Berlioz's Les nuits d'été conducted by Alberto Veronesi at the Teatro Poli
