Opera in three acts that tells the story of two friends in love with the same woman who promise to renounce their love so that their friendship does not cloud, however, very soon fate will put those vows to the test.

Nourabad, the High Priest of Brahma, has brought a priestess to the village to appease the spirits of the depths and storms, in order to guarantee a calm sea and abundant fishing. Nadir recognizes in her Leïla, the woman he fell in love with and about whom he was talking with her friend. He secretly follows her and confesses the latent feelings in her heart and she reciprocates.

Nourabad discovers them and the crowd decides to impose the death sentence on them. Zurga intervenes to defend his friend, but, recognizing Leïla, he also condemns them, feeling betrayed, but soon realizes that she saved his life a long time before, when she identifies the necklace he gave her as a thank you and decides to help. the lovers to escape together. Ópera en tres actos que narra la historia de dos amigos enamorados de la misma mujer quienes se prometen renunciar a su amor para que no nuble su amistad, sin embargo, muy pronto el destino pondrá a prueba esos votos.
