Macbeth has blood on his hands – but although he is now king, the crown rests uneasily on his head.

Verdi described Macbeth as ‘one of mankind’s greatest creations’. Fittingly, his thrillingly intense adaptation of this famous play is brooding and ferocious. As ever, we expect the WNO Chorus (there are a number of breath-taking choruses) and Orchestra to throw themselves into Macbeth and create a highly-charged evening.
