To stage the immortal opera by Giuseppe Verdi, the eminent director - Honored Art Worker of Russia Irkin Gabitov, who has been serving at the Mariinsky Theater since 1988, was invited to the capital of the Southern Urals.

The concept of visual design of the performance was developed by the People's Artist of Russia Vyacheslav Okunev. On the embodiment of the large-scale idea of the director worked not only in the workshops of the theater, but also in three workshops of the city. About 200 costumes were sewn, and each of them is a real masterpiece, and in order to recreate the luxurious interiors of the XVIII century on the stage, the theater turned to an art workshop on wood, where they created exclusive baroque furniture.

Love passions and palace intrigues, a noisy holiday and an inevitable tragedy - the opera "Un ballo in maschera" enjoys constant popularity around the world and is considered one of the peaks of Giuseppe Verdi's work.
