Sarah Behrendt – Sopran Die Bremer Sopranistin Sarah Behrendt, die seit 2002 in Berlin lebt, studierte an der Universität der Künste Berlin in den Gesangsklassen von Frau Anna Korondi und Prof. Robert Gambill (Abschluss: Diplom Gesang/Musiktheater und Master of Music Lied/Oratorium/Konzert), am Santa Cecilia Opera Studio in Rom/Italien bei Renata Scotto sowie in den Interpretationsklassen von Prof. Axel Bauni, Prof. Sayali Dadas und Prof. Wolfram Rieger (HfM Hanns Eisler). Sarah Behrendt war schon in den verschiedensten Rollen auf der Opernbühne zu sehen. Ihre wichtigsten Stationen in der letzten Zeit waren u.a. die Volksbühne Berlin („Villa Verdi“ und „Die 120 Tage von Sodom“ -Regie: Johann Kresnik), die Neuköllner Oper (Micaela in „Carmen“ -Regie: David Mouchtar-Samorai und Poppea in „Die Krönung der Poppea“ -Regie: Hendrik Müller), der Berliner Dom (szenische/ choreographische „Johannes-Passion“ und „Weihnachtsoratorium“ -Regie: Christoph Hagel) sowie das Staatstheater Cottbus („Fürst Pücklers Utopia“). Zu weiteren Rollen zählten u.A.: Blonde in „Der Entführung aus dem Serail“ (Mozart), Titania in „A Midsummer night‘s dream“ (Britten), Arsena im „Zigeunerbaron“, Papagena in „Die Zauberflöte“(Mozart), Barbarina in „Le nozze di figaro“ (Mozart) und Amahl in „Amahl and the nightvisitors“ (Menotti). Als Konzertsängerin ist die Sopranistin international tätig, z.B. in China, Deutschland, Frankreich, Italien, Litauen, Österreich und Polen. Wichtige Konzertsäle waren u.a. die Shenzhen concert hall, die Beijing Concert Hall, die Kathedrale von Aix-en-Provence, die Kathedrale Lyon, der Parco della Musica Roma, das Teatro Polliziano Montepulciano, die Laeiszhalle Hamburg, der Französische und der Berliner Dom. Zur Weiterentwicklung ihrer kammermusikalischen, wie auch Interpretatorischen Fähigkeiten im Lied-, Oratorium- und Opernfach nahm sie an Meisterkursen von Calixto Bieito, Irwin Gage, Karoline Gruber, Krisztina Laki, Siegfried Lorenz, Sigfried Mauser, Eric Schneider, Claudia Visca und Scott Weir teil.Während ihres Studiums war sie Stipendiatin der Ottilie- Selbach- Redslob Stiftung Berlin. ENGLISH: Since 2002 the Soprano lives in Berlin where she studied first musicology. 2004 she started her studies Singing and Music theatre at the University of Arts Berlin where she successfully did her diploma in 2010 and in 2012 she also graduated with the Master of Music in Concert/Lied and oratorio singing. Her teachers were for singing Anna Korondi and Robert Gambill and for Interpretation she worked with Prof. Axel Bauni, Prof. Sayali Dadas as well as Prof. Wolfram Rieger. In May 2011 and 2013 she was a member of Santa Cecilia Opera Studio Roma (Italy), where she worked with Renata Scotto, Anna Vandi and Cesere Scarton on her Belcanto Repertoire. Currently her teacher is Prof. Thomas Heyer. The soprano sang in several roles in different operas. At least at Volksbühne Berlin in “120 days of Sodom” and “Villa Verdi” (director: Johann Kresnik), at Neuköllner Opera Berlin Micaela in “Carmen” and “L’incoronazionedi Poppea” (director Hendrik Müller), at Staatstheater Cottbus in “Fürst   Pücklers Utopia” and at “Johannes Passion” at Berliner Dom. Other opera roles Sarah Behrendt sang in were e.g.:Blonde at „Der Entführung aus dem Serail“ (Mozart), Titania at „A Midsummer night‘s dream“ (Britten), Arsena at „Zigeunerbaron“, Papagena at „The magic flute“(Mozart), Barbarina at „Le nozze di figaro“ (Mozart) and Amahl in „Amahl and the nightvisitors“ (Menotti). As a concert soloist she is working all around the world, e.g. in China, France, Italy, Lithuania, Austria and Poland. The most important concert halls were the Shenzhen concert hall, the Beijing Concert Hall, the cathedral of Aix-en-Provence, the cathedral of Lyon, the Parco della Musica Roma, the Teatro Polliziano Montepulciano, the Laeiszhalle Hamburg and the cathedral and French cathedral of Berlin. For her further development in singing and chamber music she made Master classes with f.e. Calixto Bieito, Irwin Gage, Karoline Gruber, Krisztina Laki, Siegfried Lorenz, Sigfried Mauser, Eric Schneider, Claudia Visca and Scott Wier.
